More info to come here, but in the meantime:
Where is the Wedding?
Both the wedding ceremony & reception will be at Antler Basin Ranch in Granby, Colorado. This is about 2 hours driving from Denver.
If you're planning to come up Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, just a heads up that traffic can be a bit rough with folks headed into the mountains for the weekend!
Where Should We Stay?
We'll likely set up room blocks in two different accommodations:
1. Indian Peaks Lodge at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA, Granby
2. Best Western Alpenglo Lodge, Winter Park
The YMCA accommodation will be slightly cheaper, but further away from Winter Park where our welcome events will be. This is a good option for families with children since there are a lot of activities/amenities for kids on site.
If you'd like to be in walking distance to bars/restaurants/our welcome event in Winter Park, then we'd recommend booking a room at the Best Western.
We'll be running shuttles to the wedding venue from both hotel locations!
(More info to come on room blocks soon!)
There are also several other options in the area that might fit your needs better:
1. Lots of condos/cabins/AirBnbs that would be great for larger groups
2. Any other hotels that strike your fancy in Winter Park. You'll likely be in walking distance to our Winter Park shuttle if you stay close to the center of town (Winter Park is small)
3. Camping/RVing at the wedding venue! Come stay with us on site and don't worry about having to catch a shuttle/drive back after the wedding 😁
Will I need a car?
We'd definitely recommend renting a car! It'll be the easiest way to get to the Granby area and will allow you to explore some of the sights in the area.
If you'd rather not deal with a rental car there are a couple of other ways to get to Winter Park/Granby.
1. Trick one of your friends/strangers to drive you in their rental car
2. Book a shuttle from Denver (maybe with a group to make it cheaper)
3. Take the last Winter Park Express Amtrak train from Union Station in Denver on March 31, stay in the area until the wedding in June! (we'll even come and hang out with you while you're there)
(But actually, DON'T plan to rely on this - unfortunately this train doesn't run in the summers)
